Define Costs of Azure VM Scale Set (VMSS) Instances

This page explains how to view the cost per Azure VMSS instance using Cloudaware reports.

Azure customers use VMSS to improve application performance and resiliency. However, calculating the cost of individual VMSS instances can be challenging because Azure billing exports do not include per-instance resource IDs. Cloudaware addresses this by using a custom formula that divides the total VMSS cost by the scale set’s configured capacity for the SKU.
