Compliance Reporting

Use this guide to evaluate SLA adherence with Patch Management compliance reporting and understand how patching risk is distributed across your environment.

Key Dimensions

Typical reports show:

  • Coverage – percentage of eligible hosts covered by Patch Management (for example, Breeze Agent installed and reporting).
  • Patch age – how long patches of a given severity have been outstanding.
  • SLA adherence – whether hosts are patched within agreed timeframes (for example, critical within 7 days, high within 30 days).
  • Exceptions – which findings are covered by approved exceptions vs. true non‑compliance.

These metrics are often broken down by:

  • Business unit or team.
  • Application or service.
  • Environment (Prod, Staging, Dev).
  • Cloud account or region.

Dashboards and Exports

Cloudaware provides dashboards and reports that summarize:

  • Outstanding security patches by severity and age.
  • Hosts with missing Breeze Agent or stale patch data.
  • Recent patch jobs and their success/failure rates.

You can:

  • Export data for audits or external regulators.
  • Feed compliance summaries into ticketing or GRC tools.
  • Use scheduled reports to keep stakeholders informed.

Using Compliance Data with Other Modules

Compliance reporting is most effective when combined with:

  • Vulnerability Management, to ensure that exploited or high‑risk vulnerabilities receive the fastest patching.
  • Change Management, to document which patch releases were executed to address specific non‑compliant findings.
  • CMDB, to show which applications and owners are responsible for non‑compliant assets.
