Platform Navigation

This guide provides a high-level overview of the Cloudaware UI and key interaction patterns for new users.

Cloudaware Control Hub (Launcher)

The Control Hub (formerly Launcher) is the entry point after sign‑in, where Cloudaware modules such as CMDB, Conflux (Log Management), Wazuh (Intrusion Detection), and Zabbix (legacy) (Monitoring) are available as applications. Other connected apps (for example, SSO portals or Advanced Analytics access) can be configured and launched using the Control Hub. Additionally, access to licensed partner services such as New Relic and PagerDuty can be configured in Cloudaware Control Hub.

The Control Hub is also used for user management.

note

Starting in April 2026, the Cloudaware Launcher is replaced by Cloudaware Control Hub.

The remaining navigation elements and patterns are available within the Cloudaware CMDB:

  • Global navigation: Access data of Cloudaware modules (CMDB, Cost Management, Change Management, Compliance Engine, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Monitoring, Backups), search, notifications, and user menus.
  • Context panels: Use the left panel to navigate cloud providers, services, and integrations; use the right panel to view details for selected objects, findings, or list views.
  • Object list views: Browse objects with column presets, quick filters, saved views, and bulk actions such as export, tag, and assign.
  • Detail views: Use tabs and tiles to review properties, relationships, history/audit, related alerts/findings, and actions.
  • Search & quick access: Use global search to find CIs by name, ID, IP address, or tag; access recent items and pinned views.

Common Patterns & Tips

  • Start from Home and CMDB Navigator: Access a tree-structured view of your estate after discovery.
  • Use Search: find assets or applications, then pivot to related objects and findings.
  • Use Default and Custom list views: Create opinionated CMDB lists for specific workflows, such as untagged assets, failing policies, or idle resources.
  • Access recent items: Use RECENT to quickly open recently viewed list views or menu links.
  • Use theming: Personalize tab colors in UI settings.

Customizable Dashboards

Cloudaware analytics dashboards are available through user menus and support:

  • Widgets & layout: Add charts and tables; drag to resize and rearrange.
  • Filters & time range: Apply global filters (account, tag, app, environment) and set time windows.
  • Drill-through: Click into widgets to open underlying lists, findings, or cost slices with context preserved.
  • Saving & sharing: Save personal dashboards, publish team dashboards, control access with RBAC.
  • Subscriptions & exports: Schedule dashboard snapshots or data exports to email/BI tools.
  • KPI catalog: Standardize definitions for posture, coverage, spend, anomalies, and utilization.
tip

Conflux/Wazuh dashboards, as well as Zabbix (legacy) dashboards, are available in the corresponding apps in the Cloudaware Control Hub (Launcher).
