Platform Overview

Cloudaware is a SaaS-based cloud management platform built on Force.com (Salesforce). The platform consolidates cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure data into a unified CMDB and uses that data as context for operations, security, compliance, cost management, BI analytics, and automation.

Foundation

The platform uses the CMDB as the central system of record for discovered assets, relationships, ownership, tags, configuration state, and operational context. Platform capabilities and Cloudaware modules use this shared data model to support reporting, governance, automation, and cross-team workflows.

The platform foundation also includes:

  • Relationship mapping between accounts, subscriptions, projects, applications, environments, services, and infrastructure resources.
  • Administration settings to set up access to platform areas, manage configuration, and support daily operations.
  • Role-based access settings to control visibility and actions through profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and administrative roles.
  • Automation and integration points through APIs, webhooks, workflows, and third-party integrations.
  • Change management to track configuration changes, approvals, automation, and audit trails.
  • Advanced analytics to work with datasets, dashboards, and reports based on Cloudaware platform data.

Common Use Cases

Use Cloudaware platform to support:

  • Multi-cloud inventory and asset visibility.
  • Configuration tracking and change auditability.
  • Compliance posture assessment and remediation tracking.
  • Vulnerability and patch management workflows.
  • Cost management, optimization, and showback or chargeback reporting.
  • Monitoring, logging, and operational response.
  • Backup coverage visibility and recovery readiness.
  • ITSM, collaboration, and automation workflows.
