Limits & Quotas
Use this guide to review key operational practices for managing vulnerability data at scale.
Data Volume
- High‑volume sources (e.g., container scanners, dynamic application security testing) can produce large numbers of findings.
- Use grouping, deduplication, and archival strategies to keep record counts manageable.
- Coordinate with Cloudaware support when onboarding new, high‑volume scanners.
Dashboards and Reports
- Very broad dashboards (all vulnerabilities across all time) may be slower.
- Prefer:
- Filters for OU, application, environment, and time range.
- Summarized views (counts and trends) over raw record grids.
API and Integration Best Practices
- Use pagination and filters when querying vulnerability findings, assets, scan results, or scanner metadata.
- Filter API requests by account, environment, scanner, severity, status, or last updated timestamp to reduce processing overhead.
Retention
- Define retention policies that balance:
- Historical/audit needs.
- Storage and performance.
- Consider archiving or summarizing long‑closed findings while keeping current and recent data online.
