Performance & Scale
As environments expand, vulnerability volumes increase as well. Cloudaware is built to support high-volume ingestion, but scale should still be taken into account when configuring the platform.
Use this guide to plan and configure Vulnerability Management for scale.
Ingestion and Normalization
- Use record types and source fields to segment data by scanner.
- Avoid ingesting duplicate or test accounts unless needed.
- Apply grouping and deduplication strategies to reduce noise.
Query and Dashboard Performance
- Build dashboards on summarized views where possible (e.g., counts by OU and severity).
- Filter list views by OU, application, environment, and risk band rather than querying all records at once.
- Use date filters (e.g., “open in last 12 months”) to narrow scope.
Operational Practices
- Monitor ingestion rates and storage usage over time.
- Periodically clean up or archive obsolete data (e.g., long‑closed findings).
- Coordinate with Cloudaware support
support@cloudaware.comfor large migrations or onboarding of new scanner sources at scale.
