Collaboration

Collaboration integrations help keep teams informed about new vulnerabilities, approaching SLA breaches, and major initiatives without requiring them to constantly check dashboards.

Use this guide to explore notification channels and recommended patterns for vulnerability triage and remediation.

Notification Channels

Examples:

  • Slack channels (e.g., #security-alerts).
  • Microsoft Teams channels for OUs or applications.
  • Email distribution lists for weekly summaries.

Cloudaware can send notifications when:

  • New Critical or High‑risk vulnerabilities are detected on key systems.
  • Vulnerabilities approach or breach SLAs.
  • New Remediation Tasks or Initiatives are created.
  • Use broad channels for high‑level alerts (e.g., new Critical issues in production).
  • Use team‑specific channels for detailed notifications and work coordination.
  • Include links back to:
    • Remediation Tasks and tickets.
    • Dashboards showing affected assets and trends.

Collaboration should complement, not replace, ITSM workflows. Use it to drive awareness and faster triage, while tickets remain the source of record for implementation.
