Limits & Quotas

This guide outlines the types of limits and quotas that may apply to Unified Monitoring. Exact numeric limits are environment‑specific and should be validated with your Cloudaware representative and contract.

Data Limits​

Examples of data‑related limits:

  • Maximum supported metric ingestion rate per tenant or environment.
  • Recommended upper bounds for label cardinality.
  • Retention windows for high‑resolution vs. rolled‑up data.
  • Limits on the number of distinct time‑series per metric.

Configuration Limits​

Examples of configuration‑related limits:

  • Number of alert policies per module, per service, or per tenant.
  • Depth and breadth of routing trees.
  • Number of notification channels or webhooks.
  • Limits around integration connections (for example, number of cloud accounts or Zabbix endpoints).

Operational Guidance​

  • Regularly review usage against any limits or contractual quotas.
  • Use coverage and data‑health dashboards to detect approaching limits early.
  • Work with Cloudaware to adjust integrations or architecture if you expect significant growth.
