Onboard Accounts & Sources
This playbook describes how to onboard new cloud accounts, environments, or monitoring sources into Unified Monitoring.
Prerequisites
- Access to configure cloud integrations and Breeze Agent deployments.
- Agreement on tagging standards for accounts, projects, and resources.
Procedure

Connect the account to Cloudaware
- For AWS, Azure, or GCP, follow the respective guide in Integrations.
- Verify that resources from the new account appear in CMDB with expected tags.

Deploy Breeze Agent (if applicable)
- Install Breeze Agent on hosts in the new account or environment.
- Confirm that agents report healthy and hosts appear as CIs.

Configure monitoring integrations
- Ensure cloud‑native metrics (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Monitoring) are accessible; see Monitoring Integrations.
- Add or update relevant monitoring integrations (for example, Zabbix, Pingdom, Datadog).

Validate data health
- Use Data Health to confirm metrics and events are arriving.
- Check that key applications and services show up in dashboards.

Add policies and dashboards
- Reuse existing dashboard templates where possible.
- Create service dashboards and alert policies for critical workloads.

Review and hand‑off
- Walk through dashboards and alerts with the owning team.
- Document any environment‑specific caveats or limitations.
