Breeze Agent

Breeze Agent is Cloudaware’s lightweight endpoint agent. This guide explains how Breeze Agent supports Unified Monitoring in Cloudaware.

For Unified Monitoring, Breeze:

  • Discovers hosts and sends inventory into CMDB.
  • Manages installation and configuration of monitoring collectors such as Zabbix agents.
  • Streams host‑level metrics and health checks into Cloudaware.

Once the agent is installed and the Zabbix integration is configured, Cloudaware can automatically enable monitoring for all Breeze‑managed instances.

What Breeze Collects​

Exact metrics depend on your configuration and templates, but common host‑level telemetry includes:

  • CPU utilization and load averages.
  • Memory usage and swap activity.
  • Disk capacity, I/O, and filesystem health.
  • Network throughput and error rates.
  • Process and service checks (for example, key daemons or application processes).

These signals are associated with CMDB CIs so that you can pivot from an instance record directly into its monitoring history and alerts.

Deployment Guidelines​

  • Follow the Breeze Agent Requirements for supported operating systems, installation methods, and network connectivity.
  • Start with a limited scope (for example, a single environment or application) before rolling out to your entire fleet.
  • Use CMDB tags and attributes such as application, environment, and owner to group hosts for alerting and dashboards.

Troubleshooting​

If a host is not showing metrics:

  1. Confirm the host appears in CMDB with the expected tags.
  2. Check that Breeze Agent is installed and reporting healthy.
  3. Verify that the Zabbix integration is configured and shows a healthy status.
  4. Ensure firewalls and proxies allow outbound traffic from the host to Cloudaware and, if applicable, to Zabbix.
