Custom Packs

Custom packs let you group policies into sets that match how your organization thinks about compliance.

Common Custom Pack Types​

  • Framework packs – controls aligned to specific frameworks (for example, PCI, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, GDPR).
  • Service packs – controls for particular platforms or services (for example, “Kubernetes baseline,” “Data protection controls”).
  • Environment packs – stricter controls for production vs. non‑production.

Why Use Custom Packs​

Custom packs make it easier to:

  • Enable or disable whole sets of controls for specific environments.
  • Report on alignment to internal or external standards.
  • Coordinate remediation campaigns focused on a pack.

You can mix Cloudaware‑authored and custom policies inside a single pack as long as they share a clear purpose.
