CIS Benchmarks

Cloudaware Compliance Engine provides CIS Benchmark policy packs for major cloud providers.

Coverage​

Compliance Engine supports CIS Benchmarks for:

Each pack contains policies mapped to specific CIS sections and controls.

Deployment and Scoping​

The typical flow is:

  1. In the top menu, select Compliance Engine.
  2. Select the relevant pack in the left pane, e.g., AWS Foundations v1.5.0.
  3. Click INSTALL BENCHMARK. Wait for the installation to complete.
  4. Use filters for scoping and adjust for your environments (for example, production accounts first).
  5. Review benchmark checks results with owners.

Benchmark checks are stored as dedicated output objects, allowing you to see detailed status and history per benchmark control.

Reporting​

Using benchmark findings you can:

  • Build dashboards that show compliance scores by account, region, or business unit.
  • Track trends over time as you remediate findings.
  • Produce framework‑specific reports for auditors and customers.
