Troubleshooting

note

Initial data collection may take time to complete.

Authentication Fails or Integration Shows Red Status

  • Verify that the URL, account name, username, and password are correct.
  • Confirm that the Trend Micro Deep Security user can sign in directly.
  • Check whether the account is locked, expired, or restricted by Deep Security access policies.

No Trend Micro Deep Security Data Appears in CMDB

  • Allow the initial discovery cycle to complete.
  • Confirm that the user has read access to the expected Deep Security configuration and asset data.
  • In CMDB Navigator, verify that you are viewing the related Trend Micro Deep Security records.

Some Endpoint or Protection Context Is Missing

  • Confirm that the missing endpoint or protection data is visible in Trend Micro Deep Security.
  • Verify that the integration user has access to the scope that contains the missing data.
  • Review recent Deep Security changes after the next Cloudaware discovery cycle completes.

Security Notes

  • Use a dedicated Trend Micro Deep Security account for Cloudaware discovery.
  • Grant the account only the read access required for endpoint and protection context discovery.
  • Do not reuse personal administrator credentials for production integrations.
  • Rotate the Deep Security password according to your organization's credential management policy.
  • Review Deep Security data visibility with your security team, because endpoint names, protection status, and security configuration may contain sensitive operational context.
  • Disable unused Deep Security accounts when the integration is retired.
