Kubernetes

Integrate managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) and self-managed Kubernetes clusters with Cloudaware to inventory clusters and workloads for unified reporting.

Use this section to choose the right Kubernetes integration path, prepare cluster access, configure managed or native Kubernetes discovery, validate discovery of cluster resources and, optionally, configure billing via OpenCost.

Supported Kubernetes Integrations

Cloudaware integrates with the following Kubernetes types:

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Access to a Cloudaware account.
  • A user with access to the Admin Console and permissions to manage cloud accounts, organizations, and integrations (Cloudaware Administrator).
  • Access to create roles/assign permissions in the cluster in question.

Configuration

At a high level:

  1. Managed Kubernetes:
    • Set up cloud integrations in Cloudaware (see setup guides for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud).
    • Set up access to the managed Kubernetes for Cloudaware (see provider-specific guides for EKS, AKS, and GKE).
  2. Self-managed Kubernetes:
